My FAQ has been blank for some time now. I keep telling people that no one has asked me any questions. But, what are those things that I keep giving answers to in blog comments, e-mail and random phone conversations. Ahah! I do have questions! I just haven't been writing them down! I will do my best to remember to add those questions to this page as they are asked.

Why did you decided to write The Sonshine Girls?
A friend of mine, Lori Kaufman, had told me for years that I needed to write a book. I had shared with her a few of my short stories and she insisted that I could do it. Not only did she believe that I could write the book, she always believed I could have it published. Then, along came Tiffany Dauzat to join Lori and both of them became my readers and editors. They read every little chapter I sent them and caught many silly mistakes. Back to the question.

I sat down as I usually do and just started typing words. In Summer Secret, there is a part where one of the girls is leaning out her window to look down the street. That scene was kept but changed up because initially, it had been my intention to write a teen horror book. "What is it?" Anna asked, leaning over her window sill to get a closer look at the murky substance...

Have you ever had a bad feeling about something? You've felt that something is pulling you off your intended path and in a whole 'nother direction? That is what happened to me. I changed that scene that very moment and had to say, "sorry guys," to Lori and Tiffany who were still wondering what the muck was. I still don't know exactly what it was, but I feel that the direction this series has taken is a positive one and glorifies the Lord as it should.
